Mark Weston
Mark is Learning and Development specialist with 15+ years of experience in the automotive industry covering technical, customer service, process improvement, training, and management. Along with several senior roles at manufacturer level, in regional aftersales and training, both in the UK and Internationally. He has created Dealer development programs for SEAT plus face-to-face and virtual training programs for both colleges and Private Sector organisations.
Marks experience is built on a military background service for 6.5 years in the Royal Air Force as an Airframes technician, before working with several race teams, culminating in working for the Williams F1 team as a Hydraulics Specialist. He then started to create processes and standards with Cosworth heading up their hydraulics section where he was a key element in the ability to supply 6 teams with the auxiliary equipment to run the Cosworth Engines with their systems. He then spent 11 years with the automotive industry as a Trainer, Training Coordinator, and Regional Aftersales Manager. He created and ran the successful aftersales improvement program for SEAT, and then went on to run the industry leading Harley-Davidson aftersales and technical training department for EMEA. With 8 training schools across Europe and South Africa, he evolved the offering to be more cost effective, but also more learner-based with an end-customer-based ethos. He also set up and project managed the sales and aftersales launch of the Livewire Electric bike in all countries outside of North and South America.
Mark is a passionate and dedicated L+D professional that loves the chance to improve knowledge and performance. His driver is seeing people making the most out of their talents. He has achieved this through training, coaching, and supporting learners and companies, to maximise the strengths to achieve whatever goals they have.
Mark is a family man with 2 young children and has a passion for all motorsport both full size and radio-controlled.
